Myaaa. I'm so happy I got >100 favs for my Amon drawing: T.T It's the most I've ever gotten.
Pretty much I drew Amon because he is awesome and my fav LOK character so far >:3 and now one of my favourite villains of all time >:3
I do love Korra however. >:3 I was kinda, eeehhh about making her all sweetie nya nya, because she is such a hothead >:3 But maybe she will be sweetie later on. If she doesn't then I shall remove this picture because if the original creators wanted her to not be sweetie, then I shall respect that because I am a good fan and I won't warp what they intended for my own selfish reasons. Otherwise I'll become the thing that made me stop watching the original Avatar for a long time. (A stupid fan who bends the world to suit his selfish needs.)
Korra as a character is flawless in design, and I mean design in both personality and appearance. The writers really nailed a lead female character.
A lot of the time I get bothered by lead females because writers have this inability to create a 'lady', but more so 'a character who does everything like a boy, but just happens to have a girl's body' She is strong, arrogant and hotheaded and so far I am enjoying the series ALMOST as much as Mass Effect (for those who don't watch me, Mass Effect to me is the best thing ever) and she's up there with my favourite characters, standing right next to Shepard! >:3
Her actual physical design is just, wow, amazing. I love bottom heavy characters (when most of the accessories and clothing is on the bottom) with her fluffy boots and tasset, which frames her amazing physique (which I am so glad isn't just another Katara or overly sexy kind of figure.) Her face is soooo hard to get down, and I failed T.T, which annoys me because I like fanarts to look like the character they represent.
BUT I HOPE AMON WINS >:3 HE IS SO MUCH AWESOMER!
Thank you <3
Edit: I am aware it's now in an ATLAYuri group, and as much as I don't approve of mixing straight characters, as deemed by the original creators, with other straight characters, it's more publicity for my project. (Hopefully T.T)
I applaud you for striving to stay in the boundaries of the character that the writers created. Your reason for not watching the original Avatar is basically the same reason why I don't read ATLA fan fiction as much as I used to--there's too much ridiculousness to sift through.
Also (again) I can agree with you that its awesome to have such a strong character in cartoon/animation, who is finally female, not just males. ( of course there are lots of other strong characters out there who are female before Korra too) But that a (strong character) female means that you still can be girly and feminie. You dont have to become masculine in order to become strong. You can still be human and sweet.
Firstly, thank you for all the lovely comments They really mean a lot. Nothing was intentionally meant by the heart. It was kinda supposed to be a leading line up her arms and to her face.
And yesh, I still love her to this day. It's nice to know someone else appreciates her design. In how tough she can be, but also how she can just break down (e.g. when she was scared of Amon taking her bending)
Also, I like the blue, singlecolored gemheart she holds out. (does it mean something?) You know, together with you other art of Amon, it looks like he is going to reach for it.
I really like this ice heart idea, thought.
