Concept for the final companion character in Wrath.

Sir Arkadius Filius Vastatoris I

Now my favourite artist in the world is Kekai Kotaki, if you've seen any Guild Wars 2 Artwork, you'll notice how painterly he makes everything look, whilst giving insane detail. I'm practising colouring, firstly by starting with backgrounds. Which I'm actually happier with than Arkadius himself. ^w^

Arkadius is the third person to join Lancelion on his adventure and acts as the cheer of the group. Arkadius is a Prince. Literally. He knows a lot about Lancelion and the plans for him and will serve as a mentor kind of role.

But onto the walltext about him!

-Appearance-
Arkadius is a 21 year old man, with long black hair that is tied into a ponytail. He is obsessed with looking presentable for others. He has shaven peachy skin and purple eyes.

If you decide to play as Lael, the female option. Arkadius is a romance option. And being a Prince, well lets say it would have more than positive outcomes.

He bears the markings of the legendary creature 'The Hellmouth' or Leviathan. The creature that will swallow the world at the end of days.

Arkadius wears a long black cloak made from the skin of the previous Hellmouth. When in combat, he lifts up a hood from within the layer of teeth, and a skull-esque mask covers his face.

He also uses a rapier called Abyssius (which means deep sea, hell or primal chaos.) which is name after the city in which he grew up.

Arkadius is also immortal, and will stop ageing when he reaches his prime. So at about 25 years old.

-Personality and Backstory-
Arkadius is, in all sense of the word, a gentleman. Being a Prince, he grew up around royals. Other gentleman and ladies.

Arkadius is the son of the deity Abaddon. He was created from one of Abaddon's feathers and his primary goal is to take over the Throne when Abaddon's secret objective is complete (would say, but huge spoilers if the game ever comes out)

Arkadius was raised by nobles. Taught how to be proper, how to be polite and how to be confident. As a result, he adores friendship. And loves his 'Father' for creating him and giving him a world to explore. Filius Vastatoris is a literal translation of 'Son of the Destroyer.'

He is the antithesis of Somnus. Who suffers from depression and self doubt. Often the two will but heads. But Arkadius more often than not rises above it. Furthermore if the player choose Arkadius over Somnus when romancing both of them. Somnus's jealousy and distrust will involve your death when asleep. This will only happen if you pledge your feelings to Somnus then change your mind.

Arkadius grew up in the city of Abyssia and is wholly loved for not taking his Prince hood too seriously. He is generous, caring and often hold banquets and events for those less fortunate. He takes happiness from making others happy and has a high sense of self worth and believes he will make as good a, if not better ruler than Abaddon.

Arkadius received formal weapon training from Orlyssieus and Elithiel Ashbourne, Lancelion's father and Uncle. Orlyssieus taught him honour, respect, power and mercy. Elithiel taught him exploitation of weakness, agility and magic. Arkadius has a large capacity for magic and uses Ice as his primary element.

Orlyssieus, being 35 years old, was training Lancelion at the same time. Lancelion being two years older than Arkadius. His methods for training were similar, except for Lancelion's purposeful neglect. Elithiel, after training Arkadius was given another mission, which will be explained in his character profile (much later x3)

Arkadius decided that in dedication to his father. He would explore the world before him. He is adventurous, loving, caring, friendly and serves as the 'light in a dark world' role. Hopefully players will take to him. However he can be a slightly arrogant and often questions Lancelion's actions and sometimes suggests that he take over as leader. You can decide whether to punish him or talk.

Arkadius primary negative is his childishness and way he talks. He can come across as overly friendly and wants to be everyone's friend. He's not afraid to voice his opinions and, when arguing, is tactical and uses whatever he knows about his opponent against them. For example, when Lumi tries to convince him that sleeping around is a broadening experiance. He uses the sentence "Why yes, your experiance isn't the only thing that broadens is it my dear?"
He also has an incredibly posh accent, to the point where he sounds crazy or as if he is talking down to everyone: e.g. Lloyd Asplund from Code Geass! D:

Overall Arkadius is childish, but loving, gentlemanly. Caring and always wants to look after his friends and loved ones. He is generous, kind and will hopefully make for a lovely and enjoyable character!
